DAVID GRAHAM 1925-2024
The voice of Parker, the Daleks and more
WORDS: NICK SETCHFIELD
SCI-FACT! Graham was also an uncredited voice on Gerry Anderson’s Space Precinct in 1995.
WHETHER VOICING an alien blob of spite in armoured casing, or giving a gruff “Yus, m’lady!” at the wheel of a pink Rolls, David Graham was a frequently unseen but unforgettable presence in British telefantasy. Originally from Hackney, London, he was “born with the acting gene raging inside”, along with what he gratefully called “a good ear”, which served him well over a six-decade career as a voice artist. Following RAF duty in the Second World War, Graham trained at New York’s Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre before building a stage and TV career in Britain.
