Patch My PC Home Updater 5.2.3
www.snipca.com/55261
What you need: Windows 10 or 11
Following our Workshop in Issue 712 (page 38), Patch My PC has been updated again to make it even better at managing software. The big new feature is a startup manager, which you access by clicking Startup in the left-hand toolbar (see screenshot). This lists all the tools that launch automatically when you start Windows and lets you disable them with a single click. Doing so will help your PC boot faster and stop unnecessary background processes slowing it down. You can re-enable programs if you change your mind. Another new option lets you remove portable tools (that aren’t actually installed) from the Apps and Uninstaller tabs by right-clicking them. Patch My PC has added support for further software, including Wise Video Converter and Microsoft’s PC Health Check.
