Volvo EX60
SPRING
Brand new, bespoke underpinnings should help this electric equivalent of the XC60 to be at the forefront of the class for efficiency
THE NEW VOLVO EX60 could be a case of leaving the best until last. Not only will it fill a significant gap in the Swedish brand’s electric SUV line-up, but it also promises a longer range than any of its stablemates.
The EX60 – an electric counterpart to the combustion-engined XC60 family SUV – is the first Volvo model to use all-new underpinnings that succeed those used by the EX90 SUV and recently launched ES90 executive saloon.
This new architecture – which isn’t shared with any other brands – is highly scalable; it can underpin models as small as the existing EX30 and larger than the XC90, while accommodating a wide range of battery sizes.
