STAR LETTER
Dark side
You simply must print my letter this month as I am absolutely the very best writer in the country (possibly the world) and any inane drivel I see fit to send you should be treated with the reverence it deserves. I’ve written two books now and my mother says they’re better than anything else she’s ever read. Of course I haven’t shown them to an agent. They would only rip off my ideas without giving me a penny. I will allow one of the top publishers the honour of putting them in print at some point – along with a strongly worded letter about copyright theft and how I shall be watching carefully for anything they publish that is remotely similar of course. I would self-publish, but frankly I can’t be bothered with all the pesky marketing a publisher would naturally do for an unknown author like me. Edit the manuscripts? Don’t be ridiculous, they’re perfect as they are.
