Entries are invited from writers living outside the UK for the BBC International Radio Playwriting Competition.
There are three prizes: two for the best play by writers with English either as first or second language, and the Georgi Markov prize for the most promising script. The winners in the best play category will have their play broadcast on BBC World Service and will each receive £2,200 and a trip to London to see their play being recorded, and the winner of the Georgi Markov prize will be invited to London for two weeks to work alongside BBC Radio Drama and with World Service journalists. The prize includes accommodation and a small per diem.
