Cornerstones’ Assistant Editor Sarah Conkerton discusses returning to writing after a long break, and how to get back into that creative mindset with the same enthusiasm
Sarah Conkerton
QI used to spend a lot of time working on my writing, but I became ill and was forced to take a long break. Now I want to get back into it, but I’m not sure where to start. What would your advice be for writers in this situation who want to return to writing?
AThis is a scenario many authors find themselves in, and one we’ve come into contact with before. Firstly: you’re not alone! It’s not uncommon for writers to go a long time without writing or even looking at their work, for a variety of reasons. Life can get in the way sometimes, and that’s not always a bad thing.
