STAR LETTER
A LESSON FOR TEACHER
Now then, let’s start off simple. My name is Daisy Blacklock, I’m thirteen years old and I’m a writer. Yes, I am a writer. In fact, we all are. It may have taken me a while to figure it out, but I’m telling you now, you are a writer.
While life goes on, I sit and struggle with my mental health and each and every day there are setbacks. Some bigger than others, but I’m here to master them. to attend.
I usually love school but anxiety has left me unable After a meeting with some teachers, I was told I would never succeed. And guess what? I succeed each and every day.
I have won one international children’s writing competition, won one national children’s writing competition, placed third in another national children’s writing competition, and have been published in magazines and anthologies online and in print all over the world over twenty times thanks to Writing Magazine. I’m never going to succeed you say? I succeed when I accept my rejections. I succeed when I read a book. I succeed when I learn something new. I succeed when I read Writing Magazine. I succeed when I smile. I can be that writer that succeeds, we all can. never succeed
