Anne Booth is the acclaimed author of Girl with a White Dog. She writes picture books as well as fiction for young readers about friends, families and the small but significant choices we all face every day.
A typical writing day for Anne starts about 8am. ‘Creative writing will mostly end mid-afternoon,’ she says, ‘but it can re-commence in the evening, and administrative tasks can happen after creative writing has ended. Most of my blog posts are written in the evening.
‘I’m often still in pyjamas when I start writing. This can be rather embarrassing if someone knocks at the door too early – the postman is always being told, “I’ve been up for ages – honestly!”
