Achieving par 2021
Pars Air is the latest start-up carrier in Iran and has so far procured three General Electric CF34-powered Bombardier CRJ200s. Two of the 50-seat airframes, EP-PAA (c/n 7439) and EP-PAC (c/n 7486), had previously flown with Myanmar-based operator, FMI Air, while this 20-year-old jet, EP-PAB (c/n 7529) – pictured at Tehran/Mehrabad on March 31 – was with Flair Aviation of Germany. While Pars Air was granted an Air Operator Certificate in February, little information is known about it at this time. There had been a previous Pars Air operating in Iran more than a decade ago using Ilyushin Il-76TDs – it’s not clear if they are related.
