Al Baker slams BA performance
THE CHIEF executive of Qatar Airways has sharply criticised the former management of British Airways (BA), describing the firm as a two-out-of -ten carrier. Speaking to The Sunday Times in mid-April, Akbar Al Baker said he believes the Heathrow-based company “lost focus” under the tenure of recently departed chief Alex Cruz, claiming that cost-cutting initiatives turned BA into “a low-cost carrier –a level I never expected BA to be”.
