Exercise is so important, both psychologically and mentally. The fitter I stay, the quicker I recover from operations, and less prone I am to infection. Of course, it helps me fit into my clothes, but more importantly, it helps me deal with anxiety, stress and depression. For the last nine years, I’ve used exercise as therapy. For a long time I felt helpless; with exercise I can dictate the outcome. I used to go to the gym, but since having my daughter, Belle, three, I train in the kitchen. I stick HIIT workouts on the fridge; it’s lots of burpees, star jumps and lunges.
