Let's Get Crafting  |  No.126
When I was little, I used to have this big brown teddy bear that my dad bought me, aptly named Ted. Our bear on page 13 reminds me of him, so of course it’s making me feel very nostalgic indeed. This one’s rocking a festive ensemble though, and I’m all for it. And there are plenty more classic Christmas patterns for you to revel in.
We’ve got snowmen, Rudolph, robins and the big man himself, plus staples for the home such as our stripy stocking. I’m also obsessed with Hannah Cooper’s hot chocolate (p10) because it’s one of the best things about the temperature dropping, surely? Pass me the marshmallows!
Even softer and squidgier than marshmallows, though, is
our exclusive fluffy yarn. It’s featured throughout this edition, so you’ll have plenty of ideas on how to make the most of it. If you’re a complete beginner who’s not ready to knit or crochet with fleece yarn yet, flick to page 38 – no fiddliness required with Dawn Finney’s wreath! Your fluffy yarn is part of our Chestnut kit, which also features five DK balls in warming colours, plus
a 3.75mm hook and needles.
Other highlights this issue include an edit of luxury yarns, plus a wealth of bonus projects from Moon & Me’s Pepi Nana to part three of our nativity knit-along. Not only that, Heidi helps you to craft in those weird days between Christmas and New Year, when no one quite knows what to do with themselves!
Until next time,
Rosie
