Health & Wellbeing  |  May-20
May, for me, is a month that always seems to bring about change. It’s like the new season sparks a fresh start and something exciting is about to begin. Whether it’s marked the beginning of a new job role (it’s been a year since I started editing H&W, can you believe), travelling around America (a decade ago with my best pal) or moving into a new home, this month is often one I’m excited for. But, the changes happening across the world this month have brought a level of uncertainty to our lives, which can be daunting, scary and overwhelming. I know my anxiety has been tested this month, which is why we’ve packed this issue of H&W with handy tips to restore some calm and balance. Over on page 93, you’ll find helpful ways to beat anxiety, on page 36 we’ve got advice on how to bring a little mindfulness to your relationships (especially if we’re having to selfisolate), and on page 22, we’ve got hints and tricks to create some self-care, sans smartphone (it can be done, trust us). I’m planning to reignite my love for reading by diving into our book club read to switch off from stress – turn to page 33 to find out what we’ve chosen this month. And, finally, we’re launching our Walk To Wellbeing campaign in partnership with Skechers. Your health is obviously the most important thing to us right now, but please join us when you can – we’d love to have you with us.
