London death/hardcore mob deliver a gloriously thuggish debut
Picking up from a promising 2016 EP, This Is Endless mash elements of classic death metal, deathcore and slam with intermittent Hatebreed-style gang vocals for an end result that feels like Disembodied raised on a strict diet of Suffocation. But then, what would you expect of a band comprised of sometime members of genre-terrorizers Ted Maul, Akercocke and Dripback? A lack of innovative songwriting is largely mitigated by the sheer physicality of this debut. Creature Of Habit is so furious you’ll be picking fights with yourself, while Into The Hive has a Power Trip-style stomp that’ll have you gagging for the halcyon days where you could clatter into a sweaty stranger and leave a venue grinning ear to ear.
