Aim for ‘good old fashioned storytelling’ in the free-toenter Marion Thauer Brown Audio Drama Scriptwriting Competition, which is open to writers worldwide and has a $250 first prize and $100 for second.
The competition was created four years ago by Will Anderson in memory of his grandmother who supported him when he began writing radio drama scripts. Will is now a professor at Central Michigan University’s School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts and has arranged a partnership for the competition with the National Audio Theatre Festivals, the largest audio drama organisation in America. This partnership allows the organisation access to scripts which they may want to produce, as they did with last year with a previous winner, at their HEAR Now Audio Fiction and Arts Festival which is held annually in Kansas City.
