Your Dog

May 2025 It was during putting this issue together that we visited Crufts. I’ve been to the world’s biggest dog show on quite a number of occasions and this was my favourite yet. Our stand was incredibly busy – thank you to all of you who stopped by, and even more so to those of you who shared lovely comments about the brand (the magazine and our free e-newsletter). I also got chance to get around more of the show than I’d ever done before. I spoke to so many different people and watched lots of incredible dogs in action. If you’ve never visited Crufts, I’d wholeheartedly recommend you put it on your wish list. Now, I know that in my editor’s letters I often get a bit philosophical or sentimental (it’s just how I am!), but it was really great to see just how much joy it brings people to spend time with their dogs. For many, the show was a culmination of hours together preparing for their moment on the biggest stage, which will have been part of the enjoyment of reaching Crufts. The whole show was a reminder that time spent with our dogs is never wasted. So, while life gets busy, I’d still echo the sentiment, carpe diem, when it comes to spending time with your favourite canines. It could just be one extra play session this week that takes only five minutes. It will make both of your lives better. From days out to canine activities, we’ve got lots of inspiration for things you could enjoy together in this month’s pages…
