JACK HUES
PRIMITIF
DAWN CHORUS RECORDINGS
Jack Hues hasn’t exactly been quiet since Wang Chung first broke up 30 years ago. There have been film soundtracks and – they’re his inverted commas – ‘jazz’ quartets, while he and bassist Nick Feldman have also revived the 80s mainstays over the last decade. It was a series of personal losses, however, which provoked him to make his first solo album, and while that suggests this may be something of a misery memoir, it’s in fact as rowdy as it’s contemplative.
