THE PRIMITIVES BLOOM!
THE FULL STORY 1985-1992
CHERRY RED
Forever associated with 1988 indie-disco staple Crash, the Coventry favourites were briefly the brightest stars of the post-C86 pop wave, merging psychedelia with insistent tunes across three albums. This 5CD boxset starts with a compilation of The Primitives’ pre-fame indie era. The Lazy Years mainly serves to highlight how, by Crash, guitarist and songwriter Paul Court had been learning his craft. Debut album Lovely featured a smattering of similar sugar-rush highs.
