Massive Attack, Orbital, The Chemical Brothers and Underworld all flew the flag for dance in the 90s – and so did Leftfield. Like so many before them, Leftfield were another largely faceless duo, but they did their best to be different. From blistering live shows to drafting in a host of big names – and how an unknown duo managed to persuade the likes of John Lydon and Toni Halliday to sing on their debut album still remains a mystery – Leftfield became the dance dons of the decade, in no small part thanks to their era-defining album Leftism.
