Apple is cynically calling the Government’s bluff
Apple is behaving recklessly by turning off its Advanced Data Protection in iCloud, and yet it has the nerve to claim the moral high ground (‘Question of the Fortnight’, Issue 705, pictured). The first duty of any Government is to keep its citizens safe, and it seems reasonable to ask Apple to provide access for messages that might threaten national security.
