This excellent free backup software has received several updates since we last wrote about it (Issue 703, page 18), to make your backups even smoother. It now lets you adjust the priority of the backup process (see screenshot) to control the amount of system resources allocated to it. This can prevent backups from slowing your PC when you’re performing other tasks – or make them faster during quiet times. A new Hide button lets you minimise the backup-progress window to your system tray, and cancel the task from there by right-clicking the Hasleo icon. Another new option lets you select (or deselect) specific months when setting up a monthly backup schedule, so you can plan ahead for when you’re away. Hasleo has also improved its compression tool to let you shrink your backups using three different compression levels.
