The Asus Zenbook A14 is made for carrying around with you. It’s light, weighing only 980g, and slim at just 15.9mm thick when folded. We loved its design, which uses Asus’s new Ceraluminium technology. This binds a ceramic coating into the outer layer of the aluminium chassis to produce a stronger, lighter, harder-wearing substance, which is less susceptible to scratches. It won’t protect it from a drop on the floor, but it should stay looking sleek and shiny.
Light, sturdy and has a stunning screen, but also limitations
To back up these travel credentials, it also comes with impressive battery life. It lasted over 19 hours in our video-playback test, which isn’t unheard of in a laptop, but is impressive here because it also comes with an OLED screen. It produces a bright and vibrant picture, which normally reduces battery life, but not on this laptop. The resolution of 1920x1200 pixels isn’t anything special, but it’s enough for a 14in model.
