Why can’t I safely eject my Samsung SSD?
Q I have a problem that’s plagued me for years. I use EaseUS Todo Backup (www.snipca.com/53902) to back up my PC to a Samsung Evo USB SSD. Once I’ve closed EaseUS, I expect to be able to eject the SSD safely, but this never works. Instead Windows says it can’t stop the ‘SCSI Disk Device’. It tells me to close any programs that might be using the device and try again. But I’ve already quit EaseUS, and I can’t think of any other apps that would be using it. Restarting fixes the problem. Any idea what’s causing this?
