Soaring memory costs restrict mid-range laptops to 8GB RAM
Manufacturers are planning to cut the amount of RAM in mid-range laptops, as the soaring cost of memory continues to disrupt the industry.
A report from analysts TrendForce says companies might start making mid-range laptops (£500-£900) with only 8GB RAM, half the amount that’s become normal in recent years.
