The TerraMaster F2-425 is a basic NAS drive, but one that packs in some surprisingly high-end features. It’s a compact two-bay unit aimed at homes and small businesses, and when we say compact, we mean it – it’s not much bigger than the two 3.5in hard drives you might fit inside.
On the front, there’s a single USB 3.2 port for connecting memory sticks or external drives, plus three small status LEDs to indicate network and drive activity. On the rear, there are two more USB ports plus an HDMI socket and a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port. The latter is unusual for such an affordable NAS, improving performance if you have a compatible router.
