Entries are invited for the Mere Literary Festival Poetry Competition 2019.
There is a first prize of £200, a second prize of £100 and a third prize of £50. Three runners up will each get £15 and there will be a local award for a Mere poet. Entries may be in any style and on any subject, and must be original and unpublished.
To enter, send poems clearly typed on single sides of A4. Your name must not appear on the manuscript. Include a cover sheet with contact details and poem titles. Enter by post. There is an entry fee of £4.50 for the first poem and £3.50 for any subsequent poems, payable by cheques made out to PennyBank Writers. The closing date is 1 July.
