How to photograph a purple patch
Make the most of lavender season with these top tips from Wendy Evans
Lavender flowers can be used in cooking for biscuits and cakes, or flavouring in ice cream. Lavender oil is also popular in aromatherapy and perfumes which makes it commercially viable to grow as a crop. Hence, come the summer, come the purple, blue and pink flowers on green and grey foliage. Rather than roaming the countryside looking for random bursts of lavender, search for a lavender farm that’s local to you and allows access in the summer months.
