Essentials to make the most of coastal imaging
A small setup can be a benefit for seaside shooting
LENS OPTION
There is no need for any special lenses for coastal work and you can do a great deal with a standard zoom, such as an 18-55mm in APS-C format or 24-120mm for full-frame (35mm). The wide-angle end is ideal for compositions with dominant foregrounds, the focal lengths around 50mm suit general shots and when you want a natural perspective, while the longer end is ideal for isolating details and colour.
