NO punches have been pulled by the rail regulator in a blunt letter to Avanti West Coast on February 10 in response to the submission of a recovery plan for timetable production. This is the result of a continued failure to allow passengers to book in advance within the 12- week industry timeframe.
In noting the submission, the Office of Rail and Road advised Avanti that it will be held to account for delivery of the improved plan, which will be monitored for effectiveness on a weekly basis given that previously promised recovery has not been sustained.
