ASICS TAKE UP LEAD SPONSOR FROM ADIDAS

JAPANESE sportswear company Asics will become an official partner of the IAAF, replacing Adidas, the athletics global governing body confirmed.

A three-year deal was announced by the IAAF on Saturday just one day after Adidas officially announced that it would end its partnership at the end of 2016, three years before the deal was due to expire.

“This agreement is a huge endorsement of a bright future for athletics whose universality and diversity makes it a natural partner for a global corporation like Asics,” said Seb Coe.
