OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC CHAMPIONS GALORE DESCEND ON THE OLYMPIC STADIUM THIS WEEKEND

USAIN BOLT promises to get the 2016 Anniversary Games off to a flying start on Friday night at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The 100m and 200m world record-holder races over 200m in the first of two days that organisers are calling ‘Rio in a weekend’.

Bolt is followed on Saturday by the appearance of Mo Farah, as the Briton tests his speed and stamina over 5000m.

Jessica Ennis-Hill, Britain’s reigning Olympic heptathlon champion, competes in the sprint hurdles on Friday and long jump on Saturday.

Britain’s reigning Paralympic gold medallists are also in action on Saturday morning during a section of the programme devoted to the IPC Grand Prix Final.

But the star names do not stop there. Every event is packed with quality, featuring lots of recent European and US champions and current world and Olympic champions, together with many of the British athletes who are going to the Olympics.
