SHANE MACGOWAN DIES AGED 65

As Classic Pop went to press, news broke of the sad death of Shane MacGowan, aged 65.
The Pogues frontman passed away following a recent hospital stay where he had been diagnosed with encephalitis. A statement from MacGowan’s spokesperson said the singer had died peacefully in the early hours of the morning on 30 November with his family by his side.
