The first act to headline their local Rotherham stadium since T-Rex, the rowdy quartet capitalise on their self-released What’s Rock And Roll? album reaching No.1 with a more varied third LP. Still specialising in direct indie dancefloor singalongs, they now encompass Feeder anthemics in Listen, a Squirrel And G-Man-era Happy Mondays strut on Let Me Breathe and a heavier Thin Lizzy party on What She Won’t Do. Throw in the kind of picaresque everyday life chronicles of Madness and it’s easy to hear why they are now following in Marc Bolan’s footsteps.
