Asummer veg box is a beautiful thing. It’s full of colour, flavour and anticipation. Winter root vegetables are hale and hearty, designed to get us through the cold winter months, but summer vegetables need very little cooking (sometimes none at all) to bring out their fresh flavours. As if that isn’t exciting enough, it’s also the start of berry season, which is my favourite time of year. Remember when you order your veg box this month to add berries to it. Most veg box schemes have options for added extras like this and you won’t taste better berries than those grown until ripe by your local farmer.
