This evening race takes place in Leicester’s Victoria Park and features only one gentle incline. Once used as a racecourse, the land was re-opened as a park in 1882 and benefits from being traffic-free, but still take care as you go as you may come across other park users on the two-lap course.

Get your year off to a flying start with this traffic-free run around London’s Bushy Park. There’s a 10K option too. The route is mostly flat with mixed terrain and takes in the woods and lakes – and if you’re lucky you might spot a deer or two. Bushy Park was the site of the first ever parkrun back in 2004, so it’s a pretty special place.
