DIVISION ONE
THE meeting of the first and secondplaced teams closed with WEST BOWLING winning 34-18 at previous leaders SKIRLAUGH, who have slipped to fourth, albeit on points difference.
Wests had the game won by the break, when Lewis Taylor and Danny Halmshaw had bagged a brace apiece, with Jack Milburn also crossing to help forge a 28-6 lead.
Skirlaugh, who were 22-0 adrift before Alex Gilbey dotted down – and who kept Bowling at bay after Jack Gay had been sinbinned for running in on 33 minutes - hit back to within ten points through tries by Ryan Hilton and George Thompson, Gilbey adding his third goal.
