DEWSBURY RAMS are set for another moment in the spotlight when they host Widnes in the fourth round of the Challenge Cup on Sunday.
The Rams' FLAIR Stadium showdown with the seven-times competition winners will be streamed live on The Sportsman website (kickoff 3pm).
The Sportsman screened Dewsbury's recent 25-6 League One win at Workington, which continued an encouraging start to the season for the Yorkshire club.
Coach Liam Finn has reshaped the squad in the wake of last season's relegation, which left the Rams in the third tier for the first time since 2009.
Dewsbury aim to mark the 50th anniversary of their sole league title triumph (Leeds were beaten in the old Championship Final) by sealing a return to the second tier at the first attempt. Finn's side went into their game at Rochdale seeking a fourth win from four, having defeated Hornets 38-18 at home in the third round of the cup (amateurs Ashton Bears were beaten in round two).
Dewsbury also reached the Challenge Cup semi-finals in 1973, losing to Bradford at Leeds (they went down to Warrington at Wigan in the last four the season after).
Cup winners in 1912 (over Oldham) and 1943 (versus Leeds), Dewsbury featured in the first Wembley final in 1929, going down to Wigan.
Championship side Widnes, who last lifted the trophy in 1984, beating Wigan at the national stadium, were 80-4 winners against Southern Conference League champions Wests Warriors in round three, when the tie was switched to the DCBL Stadium after the capital club were originally drawn at home.
Reiss Butterworth's Dewsbury are top of League One with four wins from four
Vikings coach John Kear memorably led the original Sheffield to Wembley glory against Wigan in 1998 and guided Hull to final success over Leeds at Cardiff in 2005.
The current Eagles, coached by Mark Aston, who played for them in the final 25 years ago, visit second-tier York in the fourth round on Sunday (12.30pm) with the tie to be screened live on BBC iPlayer.
London Broncos' home game against Doncaster has been switched to Rosslyn Park RUFC and takes place on Saturday (3pm).
Both Midlands Hurricanes and National Conference League Hunslet ARLFC have given up home advantage for Sunday's respective games against Bradford (3pm) and Batley (2pm).
There are eight fourth-round ties in all, with participating clubs needing two more wins to reach round six, at which point the twelve Super League clubs enter.
Fourth-round ties Saturday (3pm unless stated): Rochdale Mayfield v Newcastle Thunder (1pm), Keighley Cougars v North Wales Crusaders, London Broncos v Doncaster (at Rosslyn Park RUFC) Sunday (3pm unless stated): York Knights v Sheffield Eagles (12.30pm, live on BBC iPlayer), Hunslet ARLFC v Batley Bulldogs (2pm, at Batley), Dewsbury Rams v Widnes Vikings (live on The Sportsman), Halifax Panthers v Barrow Raiders, Midlands Hurricanes v Bradford Bulls (at Bradford)
