LEAGUE ONE ROUND-UP
NORTH WALES CRUSADERS star Owain Abel believes having a player-coach in Carl Forster is "massive" for the club's bid to make further progress.
The Colwyn Bay side have found the going hard so far this year, losing their opening three matches ahead of last week's is it of Oldham.
But fullback or halfback Abel, who is quickly making a name for himself as one of the club's most exciting players, insists injuries have taken their toll.
"We are getting better every week, but at the minute, we can’t seem to keep 17 men on the pitch,” said the former St Helens Reserves and Pilkington Recs player.
"It's been a bit mad with injuries, but I’d rather them get them out of the way now.
"Towards the back end of the year, it is the play-offs, and we want to make them and then try to earn promotion."
