GROUP TWO
LEIGH LEOPARDS remain unbeaten in the league after putting travel disruptions behind them to keep BARROW RAIDERS scoreless in a 14-0 victory.
In a match that should have kicked off at noon, but for a major accident on the M6 delaying Leigh’s arrival, it was the Leopards that took an early 10-0 lead through a brace from Elise Derbyshire - the second on a 50 metre effort, which was then converted.
Leigh scored a third for just before the break for a 14-0 lead.
In one of the best defensive displays ever produced by the Leopards, they withstood everything Barrow threw at them in the second half as it remained a scoreless second 40 minutes for Leigh to claim an important two points against one of their nearest challengers
