GRADING CRITERA REVEALED
By STEPHEN IBBETSON and DAVID ROGERS
THE full grading criteria by which clubs will be assessed from next year has been published.
Under changes recommended by Rugby League's commercial partner IMG, and voted for by clubs, the club grading system will be used to determine who participates in Super League from the 2025 season.
Clubs will require 15 points or more out of 20 under the criteria to secure a Grade A ranking, which will guarantee top-flight status, while the highestranked Grade B clubs (those who score between 7.5 and 15 points) will make up the remaining Super League places each year, and the rest will compete in the lower divisions alongside Grade C clubs.
