Going above and beyond for power users
The specifications of the current crop of Thunderbolt 5 docks do not vary all that wildly, thanks in part to the limits of the technology. So it can come down to smaller differences. We think Ugreen’s Revodok Max is an elegant solution with plenty of ports, even if at full stretch it does share power more than we’d like. Plugable’s dock is more affordable as is Kensington’s, and both offer a solid if relatively unexciting range of ports and tools for the more casual user. OWC’s dock is compact with lots of ports though could be more generous with its USB power ratings, while Anker’s internal power supply makes it clutter-free but slightly larger. It’s also the only dock here with HDMI.
