INHUMAN NATURE
Greater Than Death CHURCH ROAD
Dirty, punk-splattered thrash magic from London’s fiercest
There are few things more satisfying than a filthy thrash record. Inhuman Nature laid down a formidable template on their self-titled debut, mixing dirty, crossover chaos with thunderous chunks of German and Bay Area brutality. Their formula remains intact on Greater Than Death, but this is a much heavier and grimier affair than its predecessor. Eschewing the pristine precision of modern thrash, these songs are underpinned by raw, gritty and urgent performances, and a palpable sense that the next circle-pit might bring the ceiling down. Dawn Of Inhuman Man and Servants Of Annihilation are razor-sharp and hardcore lean, while the title track and Mad Man’s Cage are as black, crusty and grim as Cronos’s leather pants.
