The Big Picture
Big projects take time, and Cliff Thomas’ evocative – and extensive – ‘Rheilffordd Bae Gwyrdd’ started life in the 1990s and progressed in fits and starts over the ensuing years. Things gathered pace in the late 2010s following a house move, and the layout is now set up in a dedicated railway room. Depicting a present-day preserved narrow gauge railway, ‘Bae Gwyrdd’ incorporates elements of numerous famous Welsh locations and allows for an exciting blend of ‘OO9’ stock to operate over the twisting, undulating route through the mountains towards the harbour.
