Coming this November 19 at Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles (and online at juliensauctions.com), a wildly exciting sale of the late Kraftwerk co-founder’s personal memorabilia. It promises his instruments, gear from the group’s Kling Klang studio, artwork, documents, furniture, clothing, bikes and other fascinating items. Interested parties should watch out for a signed copy of Kraftwerk 2 dedicated to his mum in 1977 (with an estimated price of $400-600, the touching message reads “Für meine mumi von ihren sohn Florian”), an electric ‘Ruhe’ (‘Quiet’) sign from Kling Klang (estimated $500-700), and his Orsi G Alto Flute (estimated $2,000-4,000), which we’re proud to say comes with the April 1997 copy of MOJO which shows him playing said instrument in a Kraftwerk cover feature. Get thee over to Juliens for the full inventory, Mensch-Maschinen!
