HELLO GOODBYE
Keith Morris and Black Flag
It began when Thin Lizzy supported Journey. And ended with no fun and silence.
This is hardcore: Panic (from left) Chuck Dukowski, Keith Morris, Bryan Migdol and Greg Ginn before they became Black Flag, 1978.

HELLO 1976
Greg Ginn [Black Flag guitarist] and I started out as like best friends. My friend Michael [Piper] owned the Rubicon record store on Pier Avenue on Hermosa Beach in LA, and Greg’s younger sister was dating Michael. So she would come to the store with Greg. Then her and Michael would take off to go eat sandwiches and smoke cigarettes on the pier. Michael listened to a lot of prog rock, so while he was gone, I would break out Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Iggy & The Stooges’ Raw Power… anything that was abrasive, anything that was loud. It was before we’d heard any kind of punk rock rumblings.
