ARGYLL students Ruairidh MacKinnon and Claire Simonetta studying agriculture at the SRUC – Scotland’s Rural College, both received prizes at the Ayr campus awards ceremony.
The Allan Carruth Prize for the best second-year case study was awarded to Ruairidh and the SRUC prize for the best third-year student in agriculture was awarded to Claire.
Both have connections with Mull where Ruairidh completed his apprenticeship with Donald and James MacGillivray at Penny gowan, and Claire farms with her partner near Ulva Ferry.
