All smiles: young people shine at Mull Mòd

Oban High School pupils were all aboard for a stunning performance at the Mull Provincial Mod. The small but perfectly formed choir members also did well in a number of competitions on Friday. Storms throughout the Inner Hebrides on Friday threatened competitors at the event but none was deterred. Friday, also known as the children’s day at the annual Mòd Ionadach na Dreòlluinn, saw more than 200 entries in competitions throughout the day. Saturday saw adult and piping competitions held throughout the village. For more pictures and reports, turn to pages 12, 13 and 14.
