Islay crowned choral winners

CÒISIR Òg Ghàidhlig Ìle (Islay Gaelic Choir) will be travelling back to the island with the Queen Elizabeth Coronation Trophy.

The group, conducted by Arlene McKerrell, were victorious in the under 19s unison choral singing competition.

Arlene said: ‘It feels great. They have worked really hard on that song. It’s a song that means a lot. It’s a very special song to Oban.’
