A DEPLETED Oban Lorne squad made the long trip to Castle Douglas on Saturday to take on newly promoted side Stewartry. Meetings between the sides have been close affairs over the years with Oban taking the spoils in all but one of their five recent contests. Saturday’s fixture though was to be an uphill task from the outset as the men is green were missing several players from last week’s promising performance in a home 10-8 defeat to East Kilbride.
