Collate survey feedback
Excel is, of course, right at home when it comes to the analysis of quantitative data. Qualitative data? Not so much. At least, not until Copilot reared its head and made the job easier.
Let’s say you’ve published an online survey or a customer feedback form that contains a field allowing respondents to write comments – something we do in the annual PC Pro Excellence Awards survey, where we invite you to share your experiences of the companies you’ve bought kit and services from.
You may end up with hundreds or thousands of free-form comments in an Excel spreadsheet column that, until now, you would basically have to wade through manually, trying to detect themes. Now the AI can do that laborious job for you in seconds.
Fire up Copilot and ask it to “summarise the comments in column F” or wherever the data is stored, and it will give you a bullet-pointed summary of the common themes from the feedback. You may want to do a more in-depth manual analysis later, but if you just want the headline trends, it’s a cracking shortcut.
